ANGELS Outreach Recognized at Steve Taylor Keystone Community Awards Dinner

ANGELS Outreach was among 13 other community organizations to be recognized for all they’ve done for the Toledo community by the Taylor Automotive Family at the Steve Taylor Keystone Community Awards Dinner Wednesday night, October 22.

This annual celebration by by Steve Taylor and the Taylor Automotive Family recognizes individuals and organizations who demonstrate exceptional vision, ethics, and problem-solving in Northwest Ohio, bringing together civic leaders, local philanthropists, and business partners for a night highlighting their community service and impact.

Carmel’s To Donate A Portion Of Profits To ANGELS Outreach

Visit Carmel’s at 2947 Tremainsville during the week before our Annual Fundraiser Event to join us in Keeping The Promise. During the week of September 11 to September 18, Carmel’s will donate a portion of their profits to ANGELS Outreach.

ANGELS Outreach has no paid staff, only volunteer angels, and every dollar donated goes to feeding local families in need during the holidays by providing a full holiday dinner to help make their season bright. During Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, Angels prepare baskets of ingredients to be delivered to families in need by officers of the Toledo Police, and Fire and Rescue Departments, the Sheriff’s Office, and the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

In 2024, with your support …

We served 90 Families at Easter last year, including 75 disabled veterans in Toledo.

For Thanksgiving 2024, we proudly served 105 local families in need of a Thanksgiving Food Basket.

For Christmas 2024, we proudly served another 105 local families in need of a Christmas Food Basket.

We held a Veterans Hot Chocolate Cocoa Bar. We hosted our first “all the trimmings” Hot Chocolate Cocoa Bar & Desserts.

Thanks to our Annual Toy Drive, children’s eyes lit up as we donated over 500 toys to local families, spreading the joy of Christmas.

We warmed up Toledo with blankets, hats & handwarmers, gloves and our “Angel Boxes” which included warm socks, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo and more. These Angel Boxes were handed out to our friends that are living on the streets.

Christmas Dinner Baskets Delivered To 85 Families

Katie Maskey and her mom spent the morning of Wednesday December 18 volunteering with us in preparing 85 food baskets filled with everything needed for an extra special Christmas feast! The Toledo Police, Toledo Fire & Rescue, and Ohio State Highway Patrol then picked up the baskets and delivered them to families in need across several zip codes in our Northwest Ohio community. This day of service was extra special since Katie’s Mom was able to join on her last day here during her holiday visit home from Florida.

Shopping With Santa 2024

On Monday December 9 we had the incredible privilege of shopping with Santa and Mrs. Claus to provide Christmas magic for more than 30 families in our community through the dedication of Angels Outreach.

I’m personally grateful to my amazing sponsor, Ragazza Boutique for always supporting our community, but especially for making this shopping trip possible for us.

So many kids here will experience the excitement of Christmas thanks to the kindness of others. Thank you, Jane Wurth and everyone who donated time, toys, or funds to the Angels Outreach Toy Drive! YOU all are truly angles among us!

A.N.G.E.L.S. Outreach Delivers Food Baskets To Escuela SMART Academy Families

On Sunday, November 17, A.N.G.E.L.S. Outreach delivered food baskets to 30 families of the Escuela SMART Academy.

These families will enjoy a brighter Thanksgiving holiday, and ANGELS Outreach is honored and privileged to be able to provide it for them.

Of the almost 300 students enrolled at Escuela SMART Academy, 89% are minorities, with 12% of students scoring at or above the proficient level for math, and 17% scoring at or above that level for reading.
