Join us for the Annual Warm Up Toledo Neighbor Drive, an initiative that shines a light on the lives of those living on the streets of Toledo. The tragic loss of Richard Kwapich, 61, who succumbed to the harsh weather conditions, has left an indelible mark on our community. As we grapple with the question of what we can do, it's clear that collective action can spark meaningful change. Mr. Kwapich's passing underscores the urgent need to address the growing crisis of homelessness in our city. With 99% of beds currently occupied and over 538 individuals on the waiting list, it's imperative that we come together to provide support and resources to those in need. Rather than pointing fingers, let's unite to amplify the voices of our unhoused neighbors and work towards creating a more compassionate and inclusive community. We're one of many organizations dedicated to making a difference, and we invite you to join us in this effort. Every contribution, no matter how small, counts, and we encourage you to give where you can. Let's take a moment to say a kind prayer for those struggling and express gratitude for our own blessings.

After a life-changing medical crisis during childbirth, Lisa made a powerful promise that became the heart of her mission. Since 1995, she has led ANGELS Outreach (Area Neighbors Getting Envolved Lovingly & Spiritually) as a completely volunteer-run nonprofit supporting hundreds of families each season with food baskets, toy drives, outreach to disabled veterans, and more
✨ Lisa’s story is one of faith, resilience, and deep compassion. What began as a single act of gratitude has grown into a decades-long legacy of service in the Toledo community
Tune in Wednesday to hear how one promise turned into a movement of love, generosity, and hope
My heart goes out to this individual who laid on the frigid cold street of the City of Toledo, alone, yet deserving of compassion and kindness. I wonder how many people walked by him, believing that he was only trying to stay warm, did anyone take a moment to check on him? How many people chose to look beyond their fears and show empathy to a stranger. A stranger that just needed a warm bed, a kind heart, a safe place to keep warm. He matters! He’s someone’s person, he was someone’s son, possibly a husband or a father. Even if he was none of those titles, he was our neighbor. If you live in the city of Toledo or anywhere close, he was our neighbor. More importantly, he was a precious human being.
I pray over the City of Toledo, and for those that call their home the streets. I pray for their protection, for a clear minds to seek help and hope for restoring their lives. I pray that God would send his Angels to guide them, and to fill their hearts with the warmth of his love.
He mattered, every single one of them matters!! ❤️
