In Loving Memory of Sterling “Butch” Rahe

ANGELS Outreach Ministries is sad to report the loss of someone whom we considered family. We've learned of the passing of TFRD Firefighter Pvt. Sterling "Butch" Rahe. Butch was also a paramedic, public information officer, and long-time supporter of ANGELS Outreach.

"It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that we regret to inform you of the sudden death of our brother and fellow Firefighter/Paramedic Sterling (Butch) Rahe. We are working with Firefighter/Paramedic Rahe’s family to provide support and any assistance needed. Please keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Information on funeral services will be provided when available." ~ Toledo Fire and Rescue Department statement on the passing of Sterling (Butch) Rahe

As the department's Public Information Officer, Butch was the face of the department and worked with local media outlets to bring stories to the public. He was kind, compassionate, humble and constantly went above and beyond for ANGELS Outreach.

He knew how much ANGELS Outreach means to our founder Lisa and made certain to capture important moments like the image of Lisa praying for Toledo with the chiefs of both the TFRD and TPD.

Butch was a wonderful person and he'll be greatly missed.

Angel Spotlight: Judy Thomaswick

Let me introduce to you one of our A.N.G.E.L.S, Judy Trzaskowski Thomaswick.

I wanted to recognize her support of A.N.G.E.L.S and her giving heart to this community. If you are a friend of Judy’s, you can go to her Facebook page and each day you will see her kind gestures and positive quotes to encourage simple kindness daily.

She captured my heart at last year’s A.N.G.E.L.S Toy Drive when she asked me what she should purchase for a child in need.

I told her to just go with her heart, our families are very humbled by the gifts they get at Christmas. She spent days and many hours picking out just the perfect gift for a child she had never even met. Little did she know what an impact she would make to a child in need. A child she made feel so special by her kind gift at Christmas.

Judy, we are happy to feature you in the Angel Spotlight for helping us to serve families for the Easter holiday season. Thank you for being a part of our A.N.G.E.L.S Outreach family but, mostly for Believing in A.N.G.E.L.S.

Angel Spotlight: Kelly Robinson-Latz

ANGELS Outreach is proud to introduce one of our board members and a dedicated volunteer, Kelly Robinson-Latz.

Kelly came to us many years ago and is a driving force with our connection to EduCare Academy. Each year we not only serve these families in their time of need but during our toy drive many of those families receive those donations.

I can’t say enough about her compassion and her love for ANGELS but also for the community that she lives in. She is an outstanding realtor and is at the top of her game by always doing her best in everything that she does. We thank you, Kelly, for your sponsorship and we also thank you for your many years of hard work believing in ANGELS. You are certainly one of ours.

Halo Sponsor: IBEW 8

The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 8 (IBEW 8) gifted ANGELS Outreach with a donation to aid our efforts to feed needy families in the Toledo area during the holidays. Thank you so much IBEW 8 for your generosity!
