Shopping With Santa 2024

On Monday December 9 we had the incredible privilege of shopping with Santa and Mrs. Claus to provide Christmas magic for more than 30 families in our community through the dedication of Angels Outreach.

I’m personally grateful to my amazing sponsor, Ragazza Boutique for always supporting our community, but especially for making this shopping trip possible for us.

So many kids here will experience the excitement of Christmas thanks to the kindness of others. Thank you, Jane Wurth and everyone who donated time, toys, or funds to the Angels Outreach Toy Drive! YOU all are truly angles among us!

Thank you Toledo !! ❤️ At our 9th Annual Toy Drive, we were overwhelmed with your generosity and support. A Very Special Thank You to our Toy Drive sponsor Mr. Steve Taylor from Taylor Automotive and Ambassador Tom Cole, for believing in ANGELS!

Each year A.N.G.E.L.S. Outreach is honored to help collect toys for local families in need. And we are privileged to once again partner with Carmel’s as we help those in need. Roger and his staff are absolute Angels for their generosity and charity.

A.N.G.E.L.S. Outreach Delivers Food Baskets To Escuela SMART Academy Families

On Sunday, November 17, A.N.G.E.L.S. Outreach delivered food baskets to 30 families of the Escuela SMART Academy.

These families will enjoy a brighter Thanksgiving holiday, and ANGELS Outreach is honored and privileged to be able to provide it for them. 

Of the almost 300 students enrolled at Escuela SMART Academy, 89% are minorities, with 12% of students scoring at or above the proficient level for math, and 17% scoring at or above that level for reading.

Carmel’s To Host The 2024 Toy Drive

On December 5, 2024, Carmel’s will host the 2024 A.N.G.E.L.S. Outreach Toy Drive.

Bring a new, unwrapped toy for a boy or girl, 1 to 12 years, old to donate.

Each year A.N.G.E.L.S. Outreach is honored to help collect toys for local families in need. And we are privileged to once again partner with Carmel’s as we help those in need.

Carmel’s Celebrates 55 Years In Business

On Friday November 15th, 2024, Carmel’s celebrated their 55 year anniversary.

Lucas County Commissioner Anita Lopez and City Council Member Theresa Morris among others were on hand to present a proclamation from the City of Toledo and Lucas County to Roger Carter and the staff at Carmel’s celebrating the restaurant’s accomplishment.

Famed for their “Toledo-style” margarita, also known as “Spanish Coffee,” Carmel’s opened it’s doors on Oak Street, as a small carryout restaurant without a liquor license. It was November 15, 1969.

In 1971 they relocated to Lewis Avenue, and by 1975, they established a location at 2947 Tremainsville Road, where they remain to this day. At that time, they became the third restaurant in Toledo to introduce an outdoor patio, and they have flourished ever since.

They are deeply committed to the community, collaborating with A.N.G.E.L.S. Outreach and supporting local schools while also engaging with fundraising efforts to assist those in need.

They have introduced new monthly and seasonal margarita flavors, along with innovative menu options reflecting the latest dining trends. Carmel’s has remained vibrant and engaging after 55 years, watching generations of families grow up in their restaurant over the years. This success is also thanks to the supporters and dedicated staff members who have played a crucial role in their journey.

Beginning the next day, Saturday, November 16, and continuing every Saturday until the end of the calendar year, Carmel’s will donate 10% of your order to A.N.G.E.L.S. Outreach.

And on Thursday December 5, Carmel’s will host our annual Toy Drive, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Carmel’s Donates 10% Every Saturday Until December 31

Every Saturday through December 31, Carmel’s will donate 10% of their profits to A.N.G.E.L.S. Outreach, as much in celebration of their 55 years in business as their partnership with A.N.G.E.L.S. Outreach. Every year they host our Toy Drive, and we’re honored and thankful to be in partnership with them and to celebrate their 55 years as a mainstay of Toledo.

We’d like to thank Taylor Kia Hyundai in Perrysburg for hosting our Sponsor & Volunteer Appreciation Event and for providing food and beverages for our attendees. Taylor Kia – Hyundai has been and continues to be a fantastic sponsor and supporter of ANGELS Outreach. The event was a success and we owe it all to Taylor Hyundai of Perrysburg.
